Fotorivals.com – Kids Photo Contest – Official Rules **Contest Name:** Fotorivals Kids 2026 **Theme:** Kids – Capture the innocence, energy, curiosity, and joy of childhood through your lens! **Organiser:** Fotorivals.com **1. Eligibility** - Open to amateur and professional photographers worldwide, aged 13 years or older at time of entry. - Entrants under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. - Employees, immediate family, or affiliates of Fotorivals.com are ineligible. - Void where prohibited by law. **2. Contest Period** - Submission opening date: **January 26, 2026** (today!) - Submission deadline: **June 30, 2026 at 23:59 CET** - Judging / public voting period: July 1–July 20, 2026 - Winners announced: **By July 31, 2026** **3. How to Enter** - Submit via the official upload form on **fotorivals.com/kids-contest** (or the dedicated contest page once live). - Maximum **3 photographs** per entrant. - Required: photo file, title, short description (optional: child's age range if comfortable sharing, story behind the shot – max 150 words), your name/nickname, email. - Entries after the deadline will not be accepted. **4. Photo Requirements** - The photograph must feature at least one **child** (generally under 18 years old; focus on kids in everyday, playful, candid, or portrait settings). - Photos must be **original work** by the entrant. No stock, AI-generated, or third-party images allowed. - Formats: JPG or PNG; minimum **1920 pixels** on the longest side; max file size 10 MB recommended. - Color or black & white accepted. - **Permitted editing:** cropping, exposure/contrast/white balance, dodging/burning, color correction, sharpening, minor spot removal, B&W conversion. Heavy composites, added graphics, excessive filters, or elements that alter reality are not allowed (unless you later add a creative/open category). - Photos must **not** show: - Any harm, distress, unsafe situations, or exploitation of children - Nudity or overly revealing content (even innocent – keep it family-friendly) - Excessive digital alteration that misrepresents the scene - Children may appear alone or with others (family, friends, pets), but the child/children should be the primary subject. - **Parental consent note:** By submitting photos of identifiable children, you confirm you have permission from the parent/guardian to enter the image and for it to be publicly displayed as per these rules. **5. Judging & Winner Selection** - Decided by a mix of **expert jury** (professional photographers, portrait/child specialists) and **public vote** (via registered users on fotorivals.com). - Criteria: creativity, composition, technical quality, emotional impact, storytelling, and alignment with the "Kids" theme. - Judges’ and voting results are final. **6. Prizes** (example – feel free to adjust) - 1st Place: €400 cash + 3-month homepage feature + “Fotorivals Kids Winner 2026” badge - 2nd Place: €200 cash + featured showcase - 3rd Place: €100 cash + featured showcase - Honorable Mentions (8–12): Digital certificate + social media shoutout - Prizes awarded within 30 days of winner confirmation. **7. Intellectual Property & Rights** - You retain full copyright of your photos. - By entering, you grant Fotorivals.com a **non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license** to display, reproduce, and promote your entry on the site, social media, newsletters, and contest-related materials (with credit to you where practical). - License for promotion continues post-contest. **8. Winner Verification & Publicity** - Winners notified by email within ~10 days after judging/voting ends. - Must reply within 7 days and provide eligibility proof if asked. - Winners consent to use of name, image, and photo for promotion without extra payment. **9. General Conditions** - Fotorivals.com may disqualify entries that breach rules, seem inappropriate, or involve vote manipulation. - Not liable for technical issues, lost entries, etc. - Entry = acceptance of these rules. - Governed by laws of Malta. - Rules subject to update (changes posted on contest page). **10. Child Safety & Respect Statement** We celebrate childhood! All entries must portray children respectfully, positively, and safely.
